Stability Testing
Stability testing checks that a finished product keeps its intended scent, colour, clarity and other properties over its shelf life, under the conditions it will be stored and used in.
Samples are usually stored under accelerated conditions (heat, cold, freeze–thaw cycles and light) alongside room-temperature controls, and in the final packaging to catch any interaction with it. The results feed into the CPSR and inform the shelf life or period-after-opening shown on the label.
