Safety Data Sheet
An SDS (Safety Data Sheet) is the standardised document a supplier provides with a raw material or fragrance compound, covering its hazards and how to handle, store and transport it safely.
It follows a 16-section format under GHS (and REACH in the EU). It protects the people handling the material in the lab or factory; it is not an assessment of the finished cosmetic, which is what the CPSR covers.
