Allergen Declaration
An allergen declaration lists the regulated fragrance allergens in a product, which in the EU must appear on the label above 0.001% in leave-on and 0.01% in rinse-off products.
Regulation (EU) 2023/1545 expanded the list of individually labelled fragrance allergens from 26 to more than 80. New products must comply from July 2026 and products already on the market from July 2028. Fragrance suppliers provide an allergen breakdown for each compound so brands can calculate what their label needs.
