A safety assessor is the qualified professional who evaluates a cosmetic product's safety and signs the CPSR.
EU/UK rules require a diploma in pharmacy, toxicology, medicine or a similar discipline. The assessor reviews the formula, raw-material data, stability and exposure, then concludes whether the product is safe for its intended use.
