Evaluator
An evaluator is a fragrance professional who assesses a composition – for quality and how it fits the brief on behalf of a brand or as a collaborator.
Evaluation is a distinct skill from perfumery itself: an evaluator is trained to judge scent profile, balance, intensity, projection, sillage. In other words how a composition will perform, age, and land with a target market, rather than to create the composition.
