Projection
Projection is how far a scent radiates outward from the wearer's skin into the surrounding space, from an "intimate skin scent" to one that "fills a room".
It is judged separately from sillage (the trail a scent leaves behind as the wearer moves) and longevity (how long it lasts). Projection is usually strongest in the first hour and softens as the top notes evaporate, and it depends on the materials used as much as on the concentration.
