Drydown
The drydown is the final phase of a fragrance on skin or blotter, after the top and heart notes have faded and the base notes dominate.
It can last for hours and related to the base notes, part that lives with longest. Perfumers and evaluators smell a fragrance at intervals over hours or days to judge how it evolves into its drydown.
