Accord
An accord is a blend of several fragrance materials combined to create a single, unified impression – a "leather accord", "strawberry accord" or "woody-amber accord" for example.
Accords are the building blocks perfumers use to construct a full composition, the way an chord is built from individual notes in music. A composition might combine several accords across its top, heart, and base structure or according to a specific function.
